Leia Karty

Leia Karty is a legal assistant and an aspiring attorney currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Political Science with a minor in Justice Studies at Arizona State University. Originally from Overland Park, Kansas, Leia moved to Arizona in 2023 and brings with her a genuine passion for criminal and family law that took root early, including a recent internship with a criminal defense attorney in Johnson County, Kansas, and hands-on experience assisting with civil suits at the Johnson County Courthouse self-help desk.

At the heart of Leia’s drive is a belief that every person deserves to have their full story heard before a verdict is reached. Self-described as loud and talkative her whole life, she has found her calling in giving a voice to those who are too often overlooked.

Outside of work, Leia is an active member of Chi Omega, serving on the Executive Board as Director of Programming and volunteering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She also volunteers in dog enrichment at the Arizona Humane Society. When she’s not in the office or the classroom, you can find her scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, or exploring new coffee shops across the Valley.
